Yan Wengui's Character Profile
Yan Wengui (967— 1044) was a painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. Wen Gui Zuo Gui, also known as Yan Wenji, was born in Xing Wu (now Huzhou, Zhejiang). Good at painting landscapes, houses, trees and people. This is a military attache, who once served as a princess book, was in charge of cashier's official business, sold notes and books, and ordered him to do nine things. Emperor Taizong (976-997) traveled to Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan) and sold paintings on Tianmen Road. Gao Yi, who was waiting to be summoned, recommended painting the wall of Suoguo Temple, and then entered the Painting Academy (about Dazhong Xiangfu (1008-16 Supplementary Painting Academy). Landscape is not specialized in studying law, it is very diverse and independent. Most of his paintings are big rivers in the north, which are fine and elegant with broken pens and dry and light dyes. Many terraces and pavilions are painted on the shore, with beautiful scenery and rich changes, which is called "Yan Jia Scenery".
