There are not many ready-made historical materials of stone. There are no historical records in History of Yuan Dynasty, History of Ming Dynasty, Records of Huai 'an Prefecture, Records of Taizhou Prefecture and Records of Yangzhou Prefecture. There is no record in the old edition of Xinghua County Records.
Although Li, the magistrate of Xinghua county, has biographies of the Stone Room and epitaph, he is also vague about Shi's life.

Shi Naian's "Xinghua County Chronicle" has all the data in five "Xinghua County Chronicles". In 38 years before Hu Zhijiajing's reign, Ou Zhi Wanli 19 years, Zhang Zhi Kangxi, Liang Xianfeng and Li Zhi Republic of China in 32 years, Ou Zhi, Zhang Zhi and Liang Zhi did not find Shi Naian.
The "this year" mentioned in the report is 1952, and the age of 105 is 1847, which is the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang. It was in the five years of the Republic of China that the paper shaft was transformed into a god card. 1952 minus 48 is 1904.
In the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang, he was recognized by a descendant of Shi.

Shi Naian, formerly known as Yan Duan, has a first name, the word Zi An, and the name Naian.
