Zhejiang Insect Bureau was originally located in Jiaxing County, and its business scope was limited to moth control in the surrounding counties of Jiaxing County. After the provincial office was changed, the office moved to Hangzhou. Under his leadership, the scope of work has been greatly expanded-the bureau has set up laboratories for insect life history, insect classification, mosquitoes and flies, parasites and so on. , and established rice insect research institute, mulberry insect research institute, cotton insect research institute and fruit tree insect research institute in other areas. Since then, the system of Zhejiang Insect Bureau has been established and begun to take shape, laying a foundation for its future development.
1930 Zou was transferred as the director of the design department of Jiangsu Farmers Bank; During the period of 1932- 1942, he was hired as the dean of the Agricultural College of National Central University; Since then, he has served as a standing member of the Agricultural Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the National Government, a special member of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the National Government, the director of the Silk Research Institute of the National Trade Commission, and the president of the National Northwest Agricultural College. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as a member of the Management Committee of Zhongshan Cemetery, a librarian of Jiangsu Literature and History Research Institute and a consultant of China Agricultural Heritage Research Office.
In his later years, Zou engaged in the study of the agricultural heritage of the motherland. He has collated Xu Guangqi's agricultural masterpiece "Encyclopedia of Agricultural Administration" and written many papers on agricultural history. 198 1 year, Science Press published one of his last works, History of Entomology in China.
