2. Work experience

1968 After graduation, he stayed in the Institute of Experimental Biology of China Academy of Sciences to do research on nucleic acid chemistry and enzymatic synthesis (artificial synthesis of yeast alanine tRNA), and served as one of the main leaders of this research. 1980, I went to work in the Ray Wu laboratory of Cornell University, mainly to improve and perfect the recombinant DNA technology, especially to establish the direct double-stranded sequencing of DNA on plasmid, which changed the popular single-stranded DNA sequencing method at that time and laid the foundation for the later research and development of DNA automatic sequencer and genome project.
