1934 ——1937 studied in Tsinghua University. I studied in department of mechanical engineering in the first year and transferred to the Department of Computing in the second year.

1937 ——1938 studied in Changsha National Temporary University in the first semester and graduated from Kunming National Southwest Associated University in the second semester.

1938 to 1940 worked as a math teacher in Li Kunhua Middle School in Yunnan Province.

1940- 1946 was an assistant and teacher in the Department of Computing, National Southwest Associated University.

1946- 1947, a faculty member of Tsinghua University Department of Computing.

From 1947 to 1950, students from China and France were admitted to study in France, first at the University of Strasbourg, and then from 1948 to the University of Paris. Returned to China in May 1950.

1950 ——1952 served as an associate researcher and secretary of the preparatory office of the Institute of Mathematics, China Academy of Sciences.

1952—— Associate researcher, researcher, academic secretary of Institute of Mathematics, China Academy of Sciences, academic secretary of academic committee, director of five disciplines, director and deputy director of functional analysis room.

1978- 1987 served as a member of the third (1978- 1983) and fourth (1983- 1987) Council of chinese mathematical society.

1980 —— Editor-in-Chief of Mathematical Translation Forest (quarterly).

1985 —— Member of the National Committee for Examination and Approval of Natural Science Terminology and Director of the Committee for Examination and Approval of Mathematical Terminology.
