Through years of unremitting academic exploration, Professor Zhao Bingzhi has made in-depth and meticulous research on many issues of criminal law, many of which are groundbreaking. The following is a summary of representative viewpoints put forward by Professor Zhao Bingzhi for readers' enjoyment. Zhao Bingzhi is one of the earliest leading scholars in China who engaged in the study of "one country, two systems" criminal law. He made a comprehensive comparative study of criminal legislation and judicature on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, analyzed the characteristics and length of criminal law on both sides of the Taiwan Strait from the aspects of system structure, legal provisions and legislative technology, and put forward suggestions for mutual reference and improvement. He believes that when dealing with cross-strait criminal legal issues, we should implement the principles of safeguarding the reunification of the motherland, safeguarding the interests of compatriots on an equal footing, and respecting history and reality; Distinguish whether the crime is punished by cross-strait criminal law and whether it is an international crime, and solve the jurisdiction of cross-strait criminal cases reasonably and pragmatically; All kinds of historical criminal responsibilities of Taiwan Province compatriots should be dealt with leniently, and criminal responsibilities should not be investigated or not in principle; The criminal responsibility of mainlanders illegally crossing the border to Taiwan should be handled differently according to the situation; At present, authorities on both sides of the strait and relevant parties should cooperate to punish and prevent maritime crimes in the Taiwan Province Strait. The two sides of the strait should strive to gradually establish a comprehensive criminal judicial cooperation relationship. Zhao Bingzhi has also made pioneering explorations on criminal legal issues involving Chinese mainland, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region. His achievements in the field of "one country, two systems" criminal law have attracted the attention of relevant parties at home and abroad. He proposed that the principles of safeguarding national sovereignty, mutual respect, non-interference, equal consultation and timely and effective punishment of crimes should be adhered to in solving interregional criminal jurisdiction conflicts, and on this basis, he proposed specific rules for solving them. Regarding the rational division of interregional criminal jurisdiction in China, he put forward the principle based on the principle of territorial jurisdiction, supplemented by the principle of reasonable and effective punishment and crime prevention.
Professor Zhao Bingzhi has a wide range of research topics, including China criminal law, China interregional criminal law and international criminal law, as well as new crimes such as financial crimes, computer crimes, cyber crimes and intellectual property crimes. The above only selects the representative views of Professor Zhao Bingzhi; As for other aspects, I won't introduce them because of space limitations.
