From 2000 to 2004, he participated in the research work of "Scholars' Proposal Draft of the Draft Civil Code of China" commissioned by Professor Wang Liming from the Law Committee of the National People's Congress, and was one of the chief drafters of this article, specifically undertaking the drafting of articles and legislative reasons of general principles of civil law, property law, debt law, contract and tort liability.
