The Group sponsored a series of influential social activities, including high-level ministerial meetings and business summits such as the China-UK Forum and the China-EU Forum. In addition, Fairbank China Research Center of Harvard University has established the Shen Dong Research Scholarship, which has supported Harvard doctoral students to conduct field research in China for many years.

On this basis, in order to carry out social welfare activities more systematically and effectively, in March 2007, Taihong Group initiated the establishment of Kaifeng Public Welfare Foundation. The Foundation is the first batch of national public welfare foundations initiated by enterprises and approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the competent business department is the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

With the vision of "promoting human progress and social development" and the core mission of promoting the understanding of human common values, promoting the symbiosis of human multiculturalism, promoting the smooth realization of social transformation and promoting the universal establishment of social justice, Kaifeng Public Welfare Foundation has carried out projects in the fields of humanities, social sciences and art.

Kaifeng Public Welfare Foundation donated Tsinghua University Kaifeng Humanities and Social Sciences Library, cooperated with Tsinghua University to establish Kaifeng Development Research Institute and Family Inheritance and Development Research Center, fully supported the reconstruction of Tsinghua University Sinology Research Institute, established Tsinghua Kaifeng Public Welfare Foundation Friends Scholarship and Kaifeng Social Management MPA Scholarship in Tsinghua University, and sponsored a series of NGO projects such as China Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Foundation, China Social Organization Promotion Association and China Non-public Funded Development Forum.
