1983 to 1998 as the examiner, deputy director and deputy minister of the electrical invention examination department of China patent office;

1998-2003 Deputy Minister and Minister of Electrical Invention Examination Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office;

In 2004, he served as Minister of Communication Invention Examination Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office;

From 2004 to 2006, he served as Secretary-General of China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office and Minister of Examination Business Management Department;

Since July 2006, he has served as deputy director and member of the Party Group of China National Intellectual Property Administration.
