Luyi County is located at the junction of Henan and Anhui in the east of Henan Province and belongs to Zhoukou City, Henan Province. Luyi County borders Bozhou City, Anhui Province in the east and Zhecheng County, Shangqiu City in the north, with geographical coordinates of 33 43 ′ to 34 51′ north latitude and115 25 ′ to15 37 ′ east longitude. Lu Yi is 54.6 kilometers long from east to west and 40.5 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 1.86 million mu (1.245.5 square kilometers) and cultivated land area of 1.36 million mu. Lu Yi geological structure belongs to a part of Zhoukou basin, bordering Taikang uplift in the north, Kaifeng sag in North China basin, Bozhou-Dancheng fault in the south, Dancheng uplift in the east, Luxi uplift in the east and Yuxi uplift in the west. Lu Yi sag looks like a "hump", showing a northeast trend. Mainly Cenozoic strata, with Mesozoic and Upper Paleozoic strata at the bottom. Lu Yi belongs to a part of the alluvial plain of the Yellow River. Transit rivers all flow into the Huaihe River, also known as the Huanghuai Plain.
