China HowNet is affiliated to Tongfang Co., Ltd. (600 100), a A-share listed company, and Tongfang Co., Ltd. owns 98.98% of the shares of Tongfang HowNet Digital Publishing Technology Co., Ltd.

1996 At the end of February, the inaugural ceremony of China Academic Journal (CD-ROM Edition) and the inaugural meeting of China Academic Journal Literature Retrieval Consultation Station were held in Tsinghua University campus.
