Li Baitang's Contribution to Mazu Culture Communication
Lee in Baitang contributed to the spread of Mazu culture. Since the settlement of Baitang in Song Dynasty, the Li family in Yangwei, an ancient cultural village, has become a famous family in the Han River. During the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1662- 1722), Bai Tang Li compiled the Li Family Tree at Yangwei in Baitang, and collected many precious materials about Mazu belief. This score was used as an exhibit in the Mazu Cultural Relics Exhibition held in Fujian Province in 1994, which attracted the attention of many experts and scholars who studied Mazu. Among them, Liao Pengfei, a famous Shaoxing scholar and Xianyou in Song Dynasty, rebuilt Shunji Temple in Shengdunzu Temple, which recorded the praise and seal of Mazu Palace Temple by the earliest court and was recognized as "the earliest known Mazu document" by experts and scholars. Liao Pengfei's "Reconstruction of Shunji Temple at Shengdun Ancestral Temple" records the origin of Shunji Temple at Shengdun in Mazu, the process of imperial court's "imperial decree for Shunji", the reconstruction of Shunji Temple by Li Fu, an anti-Jin hero, and the status change of Mazu statue in the temple. The article said: "To the east of the county, beside Ninghai, there are beautiful mountains and rivers, which is a scenic spot for one side and the holy pier is in the clouds." Near Ninghai, a scenic place is the location of the holy pier. Because of the appearance of the "Meizhou Goddess", the local elders "got their name from the temple". Anyone who prays for "plague" or "pirates" because of floods and droughts will be effective. "Merchant ships are particularly guided by it, and they can benefit from it. Although the waves are rough, the ship is also safe. " The following article describes an incident: Song Xuan and Gui Maonian (1 123) sent Lu to North Korea, and eight big ships were swept away by the wind and waves in the East China Sea. However, Lu's ship was "taken away by a goddess, and Russia was at peace". YUNDI asked curiously what was going on? At this time, Li Zhen, a sheep-tailed man from Baitang, stood up and said that his family had always worshipped the goddess of the Holy Pier. He told the details of the gods of Mazu, believing that the appearance of the sea saved the goddess of Shengdun (Mazu). When he returned to the court, he told the court that he was rescued in distress at sea. The emperor issued a letter, taking "Shunzhi" as the forehead of Shengdun Temple. Liao Pengfei said: "When the goddess appeared in Meizhou, it actually started from this pier, and then she was given a forehead and included in the sacrificial ceremony. It also started from this pier." This is the first time that Mazu Tempel has accepted the awards and titles of the imperial court. It should be said that Li Zhen has played a great role in propaganda and agitation here. "Reconstruction of Shunji Temple in Shengdun Ancestral Temple" also wrote: Cheng Xinlang and Li Fu (the younger brother of Li Zhen, the hero of anti-Jin Dynasty, founded a school in Putian and built 32 bridges) donated 70,000 yuan to rebuild Shunji Temple in Shengdun. "Hou Li (Fu) answered God's prayer because of a new round." Li Fu also moved the position of the goddess (Mazu) to the main hall. Liao Pengfei believes that "Hou Lizhi, as a temple, not only answers the gods, but also takes the positive order as the cloud." Li Fu greatly improved Mazu's position. In this article by Liao Pengfei, the Li family tree at the end of Baitang Yangwei was originally titled "The Record of the Holy Flying Order", which was verified by experts as the first collection of Mazu historical materials compiled by people in the Yuan Dynasty. During the Qianlong period, there was a preface to Fuxing Fuyu Tiangong in the genealogy of the Li family in Yangwei, Baitang, which was signed by Wujiao people (178 1) for forty-six years. It is recorded in the article that "Song made Gong Li break the gold, and when crossing the sea, he used reeds to turn the corner and enjoy its benefits." Fuyu Island is a small island in Baitang. In Wujiao Village, Wujiao Village is adjacent to Yangwei Village, and the people in Wujiao Village are villagers in Wujiao Village. The origin of the Temple of Heaven in Fuyu Island is recorded here. Li Fu, an anti-gold hero, recruited 3000 volunteers. When he went north to fight Kim, he was caught in a storm at sea and was rescued by Mazu. In order to repay Mazu's kindness, he built this Mazu Palace on Fuyu Island in Baitang Lake, hoping that Baitang would be blessed by Mazu forever. After several generations of reconstruction, Fuyu Palace still stands in Baitang Lake, adding a touch of bright color and a layer of mystery to the beautiful Baitang Lake. Li Zhen and Li Fuxiu of the Lee family in Baitang Yangwei built the Mazu Tempel, which improved the status of Mazu and asked the court to give a huge sum of money, making great contributions to the establishment and spread of Mazu culture. Li's genealogy in Baitang Yangwei also plays an irreplaceable role in studying Mazu culture and promoting the "divine fate" of Mazu belief on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
