Tianmen is a city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province, not other cities. Tianmen, known as Jingling in ancient times, is one of the cities under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province 17 and a member of Wuhan City Circle. During Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty, Tianmen Mountain was named after Tianmen Mountain in China. It is located in the middle of Hubei Province, north of Jianghan Plain, north of Dahongshan, south of Hanjiang River, west of Jingyi and east of Wuhan. Tianmen has a long history, which has been built for more than two thousand years since the establishment of Jingling County in Qin Dynasty. Shijiahe site marks Tianmen's civilization history of more than 4000 years. Tianmen is a national civilized city nominated city, a national garden city, a national sanitary city and the most ecologically competitive city in China. 1994, Tianmen broke away from the original Jingzhou area and was placed under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province, becoming a municipality directly under the central government, officially enjoying administrative, financial and judicial powers at the prefecture level.
