Touching Green depicts the image of Zhu Qing from the perspective of a teacher's mother. The author skillfully uses Shi Niang as the narrator. Teacher Niang is the only person in the novel who witnessed Zhu Qing becoming sophisticated and indifferent from youth to the end. When she told the story of Zhu Qing, she felt as sorry as the readers. Compared with Zhu Qing's own narrative, the third-party perspective of Ten Niangs is more "clear to the beholder". There are many parallel structures in this short story. For example, the family members of the Air Force lived in Renai East Village when they were in Nanjing, and went to Taipei or lived in Renai East Village. This parallel structure formed a strong contrast between the past and the present, but now it is unbearable to describe the beautiful contrast of the past. It's just that the air force in Taipei is no longer the air force in Nanjing. Touching Green vividly depicts not only Zhu Qing, but also the whole Air Force and its family members. Zhu Qing's tragedy is not her own.
