Emperor Yang Di was unhappy and asked no more. Soon, Su Wei presented a Book of History, aiming at admonishing Yang Di, who was even more dissatisfied. Later he was asked about the crusade against Liaodong. Su Wei said that he hoped to forgive the gathered thieves and let them crusade against North Korea, which made Yang Di even more angry. Pei Yun, an ancient scholar, understood Yang Di's intention and made people accuse Su Wei of abusing other people's official positions when presiding over the selection of officials. He also said that he was afraid of the Turks and asked to return to the capital. Emperor Yang Di ordered an investigation into these matters. After the case was solved, Yang Di dismissed Su Wei from his official position and reduced him to a subaltern.

In the 12th year of Daye (6 16), Pei Ju went to Jiangdu (now Yangzhou, Jiangsu) with Yang Di. At that time, the world was in chaos and the rebels were everywhere. The imperial court was played everywhere in the county, and Emperor Yang was played in Peiju. Yang-ti was furious and asked him to go back to Chang 'an to meet the envoys of Guo Fan, but Pei Ju refused to go because of illness. Later, Yang-ti became more extravagant and dissipated, but Pei Ju just ingratiated himself and did not dare to remonstrate. In the first year of Yining (6 17), Li Yuan rose up against Sui in Taiyuan. In the first year of Wude (6 18), Yu Wenhuaji launched Jiangdu Rebellion and killed the emperor Yang Di. Later, Yu Wenhuaji usurped the throne and established Guo Xu. In the second year of Wude (6 19), Yu Wenhuaji was defeated and killed, and Pei Ju was captured by Dou Jiande. Dou Jiande thought Pei Ju was an old minister of the Sui Dynasty, and treated him with great courtesy, and appointed him as an official minister. Later, Pei Ju presided over the civil service election as the minister's right servant, and formulated the etiquette of the Chaogang, which made Xia's law complete. Dou Jiande was very happy and often asked him about politics. In the fourth year of Wude (62 1), Dou Jiande was captured alive by Li Shimin, the king of Qin, in the Battle of Hulaoguan. The remnants of Dou Jiande decided to descend to the Tang Dynasty, and Pei Ju, Li and others went to Chang 'an to dedicate all the areas east of Xiaoshan to the Tang Dynasty. He secretly sent a letter to Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, saying, "Please be an insider". After the Chen Dynasty was destroyed by the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty received the officials of the Chen Dynasty. When Emperor Wendi of Sui met Pei Yun, he remembered that "please be my wife", so he made an exception and promoted Pei Yun and awarded him the position of Yitong. Since then, Pei Yun has served as the secretariat of foreign, direct, German and other States, and has made achievements.
During the great cause years, Pei Yun ranked first in performance appraisal for several consecutive years. When Yang Di heard that he was very capable, he was transferred to the central government to take charge of etiquette and literature. Knowing that Emperor Yangdi loved music and paid attention to ostentation and extravagance, Pei Yun expanded the court Yuefu with great fanfare, and "the number of musicians increased to more than 30,000". Yang Di was very satisfied with this and immediately appointed Pei Yun as assistant minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, in charge of household registration and finance and taxation.
At that time, the household registration management was chaotic, and the phenomenon of underreporting was very serious. Pei Yun has served as several local governors and is familiar with the inside story. To this end, he proposed a set of verification methods to strengthen accountability and reward. In that year, "each county counted 243,000, plus 64.120,000." The success of this census not only improves the household registration management, but also helps to increase fiscal revenue. Yang Di was very happy and praised Pei Yun to the officials: "There were no talents in the previous generation, which led to the waste of registered permanent residence. Now it has been thoroughly verified, all by Pei Yun. " Soon, Pei Yun was awarded the title of an ancient scholar. As an ancient scholar, Pei Yun should supervise the judiciary fairly, but he has no principles at all, and is keen to figure out the meaning and act accordingly.
Later, Yang Xuangan, who was suspicious of the Minister Yang-ti, could not ensure himself. He rebelled in Daye for nine years and died in defeat. Emperor Yang-ti ordered Pei Yun to track down his confidants, and Pei Yun-ling was ordered to know that Emperor Yang-ti only cared about stability and despised human life. As a result, Pei Yun and Fan Zi, the minister of the Ministry of War, killed more than 30,000 people, confiscated all their belongings and exiled more than 6,000 people in the name of cleaning up Yang Xuangan's henchmen. Most of the victims involved in this case were wronged, and they died unjustly because of the harsh laws and rough law enforcement of Pei Yun and others.
After that, Pei Yun followed Yang Di to attack Liaodong and Youxing Jiangdu. In the 14th year of the Great Cause (AD 6 18), Yu Wenhuaji, the right general of Tunwei, and Sima Deqi staged a mutiny in Jiangdu (now Yangzhou, Jiangsu) to kill the monarch. During his tenure as assistant minister of civil history, he participated in the election of officials with Niu Hong, Su Wei and Yuwen Shu. At that time, people called it "choosing Cao Qigui". Among these seven people, Yu Shiqi acted arbitrarily and took bribes. In the eighth year of Daye (AD 6 12), he recruited from North Korea and awarded Dr. Jin Guanglu. I refused to accept the advice several times, fearing that I would bring disaster to myself and didn't dare to disobey it.

Yuwen Shu was modest and strict by nature, and was loved by the powerful ministers of the Northern Zhou Dynasty and Otsuka who slaughtered Yuwen Hu, so he was appointed as his cronies and officials. When Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty got rid of Yuwen Hu, as soon as he came to power, he called Yuwen Shu Zuo Gongbo, promoted Dr. Yingguo, and gave Boling County Order, which was soon changed to Puyang County Order.

On the 17th day of the first month in the ninth year (589), Yuwen Shu led 30,000 troops to cross the river. At that time, Han Qinhu and He Rebi attacked Danyang, and Yuwen Shu occupied Shicheng (now Qingliang Mountain in the west of Nanjing) as a sign of unity. On the 20th, Sui Jun invaded Jiankang (now Nanjing), occupied Chen Houzhu and the Chen Dynasty perished.
After the demise of the Chen Dynasty, Xiao You, the secretariat of the Wu Zhou Dynasty of the Chen Dynasty, refused to surrender to the Sui Dynasty and set up his own house. Wu people pushed him mainly. Xiao Yan, the secretariat of East Yangzhou, also refused to surrender to Yizhou. In February (589), Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty sent Yuwen Shu to lead an army crusade, marching hand in hand with land and water. When Yuwen Shu's army arrived, Xiao Sui camped in the east of Jinling and blocked the pond road. He sent Wang to defend Wu Zhou (now Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province) and led the army into Taihu Lake, intending to attack the Yuwen Shu army from behind. Yuwen Shu led the army to break the enemy camp east of Jinling, and then returned to attack Xiao Sui, defeating Xiao Sui and his men. Another army attacked Wu Zhou, and Bao Wang abandoned the city and fled. Xiaosui packed up the rest of Baoshan (now Taihu Lake) and surrendered, which was broken by the water army. Xiao Xiang was captured and Xiao Yan surrendered to the Sui Dynasty. Xiao Xiang and Xiao Yan were sent to Chang 'an to be beheaded. Yuwen Shu pacified the land of the Three Wu Dynasties, laying the foundation for the unification of Lingnan in the future. Yuwen Shu pays tribute to the general manager of Anzhou.
At that time, Yong Yang, the eldest son of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, was the Crown Prince, and Yang Guang, the second son, was the King of Jin, guarding Yangzhou, and Yang Guang was wooing Yuwen Shu, so he was invited as the general manager of Shouzhou Secretariat. Yang Guang had the idea of seizing the Crown Prince at this time, so he asked Yuwen Shu to advise him. Yuwen Shu offered to make friends with capital etiquette Su Yang and YueYang. Yang guang was overjoyed at this. In AD 20 (600), Yang Guang asked Yuwen Shu to bring many treasures to Beijing. Yuwen Shu's behavior in Kyoto paved the way for Yang Guang to seize the Prince. From then on, Yang Guang's friendship with Yuwen Shu was far superior to others, and he betrothed his eldest daughter Princess Nanyang to Yuwen Shu's second son Yu. Under the planning of Yuwen Shu and his brothers, in November of the same year (600 years), Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty made a letter to King Jin as the Crown Prince. Yang Guang immediately led the team with Yuwen Shu as left-back.
In July of the fourth year of Renshou (604), after Wendi died, Prince Yang Guang succeeded Yang Di. In the first month of the first year of Daye (605), Yuwen Shu, Dubai, Yang became the left general and was renamed Xu Guogong. In the third year of Daye (607), the same three departments of the complex instrument were added.
In July 608, assistant minister Pei Ju of Huangmen lobbied Tiele to attack Tuguhun. After Tuguhun's defeat, Fuyun Khan led his troops back to xiping county (now Ledu, Qinghai) and sent messengers to the Sui Dynasty for help. Yang Di ordered Yuwen Shu and Guan De Wang Yang Xiong to see Tuguhun and surrender to the public. Seeing that the Sui army was strong, Fu Yun Khan dared not surrender and led his people to the west. Yuwen Shu led the army in pursuit and defeated Tuguhun in Shantou City (now Xinghai, Qinghai), killing more than 3,000 people, and then took Chishui City (southeast of Xinghai). Tuguhun remnants retreated to Qiunichuan again, and Sui Jun continued to pursue. In Qiunichuan, Tuguhun was defeated again, and 200 princes and generals were captured. More than100,000 tribes have defected. Tuguhun is 4,000 miles east and west, and 2,000 miles north and south, all belonging to the Sui Dynasty. The Sui Dynasty set up four counties here: Shanshan, Qiemo, Xihai and Heyuan.
In the fifth year of Daye (609), Yuwen Shu traveled with Yang Di to Yan Mountain. Because it is located in the Gobi, in order to prevent accidents, Yuwen Shu personally leads scouts to patrol every time. When Tuyuhun attacked Zhang Ye, Yuwen Shu led the army to repel him. After returning to Korea, Yang Di ordered Yuwen Shu and Su Wei to participate in the affairs before the DPRK. Yuwen Shu had a successful career at that time, and he was on an equal footing with Su Wei, which was even more favored by Emperor Yang Di. At the same time, Yuwen Shu is also good at welcoming guests. Since then, Yuwen Shu has been favored by Yang Di and was once in power. Emperor Yang Di also listened to him. Yuwen Shu is also greedy and despicable, demanding other people's property.
In the first month of the eighth year of Great Cause (6 13), Yuwen Shu was appointed General Fuyu Road to conquer Goguryeo. In March, the Sui army crossed the Liaohe River, defeated the Koguryo army on the east bank of the Liaohe River (now Liaohe River), and tens of thousands of people died and marched into Liaodong City (now Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province). In May, the Koguryo army was frustrated in several battles, but Baby City held on and Liaodong City could not be captured for a long time. The Sui army was besieged for a long time, and its morale and combat effectiveness were greatly reduced. In June, Emperor Yang Di came to Liaodong City, reprimanded the general who refused to work, and personally supervised the army to continue attacking the city. At the same time, Yuwen Shu and others were ordered to lead 9 armies, totaling 300,000 people, to cross the Liaohe River and Koguryo Zhucheng, to advance to the Yalu River and cooperate with the water army to attack Pyongyang.
Halfway through the ninth road, there is little food and grass left. Yuwen Shu wants to return to the division, and there are many similarities and differences among people. Yuwen Shu didn't know Yang Di's mind and hesitated. After urging him to continue to March on Yuwen Shu, he had to follow him across the Yalu River. Seeing that the soldiers of the Sui army were hungry, Koguryo Minister Zhiyi Wende continued to adopt the tactics of consuming the enemy. Every time you go to war with Sui Jun, you will retreat at the touch of a button. Confused by the temporary victory, Sui Jun went deep into Pyongyang only three miles away. Wende sent messengers to cheat again. Yuwen Shu agreed to return to Li in view of the soldiers' extreme fatigue. Sui Jun, who was retreating, was constantly attacked by Koguryo troops along the way and had to fight and retreat. After Sasui's trip, Goguryeo's army stormed in the middle of the Sui army, and Xin Shixiong, the defender, died. The other troops collapsed and fled in a hurry. Yuwen Shu and others retreated to Liaodong City. It is said that there are only 2000 people left, and all the materials and equipment have been lost. Yang Di saw that the tide was gone, so he led the army to retreat.
When the war against Koguryo failed, Yang Di was furious and put Yuwen Shu in prison. Yuwen Shu is very popular with Yang Di at ordinary times. Yang Di could not bear to kill Yuwen Shu, so he ousted Yuwen Shu for the people. In the first month of the 9th year of Daye (6 13), Emperor Yang Di resumed Yuwen Shu's post, while Yuwen Shu remained in office. Soon after, he added the third division of Kaifu Instrument. In March, Emperor Yang Di went to Koguryo again with his personal expedition. In Liyang (now Xunxian County, Henan Province), Yang Xuangan, the minister of the Ministry of Rites, was left here to supervise the transportation of grain and grass. On April 27th, Emperor Yang Di drove across the Liaohe River. 29, Yang Di ordered Yuwen Shu and general Yang Yichen to lead the army from the northern foothills to Pyongyang. Because Sui Jun is stronger than Ma Zhuang, well-planned and well-prepared, this operation is very smooth.
At this point, Yang Xuangan suddenly rebelled against Sui in Liyang, frightened, ordered people to withdraw, and sent Yuwen Shu to Heyang to crusade against Yang Xuangan. Yuwen Shu and Qu Tutong rushed to the eastern capital, forming an anti-encirclement situation against Yang Xuangan, who surrounded Luoyang. On the 20th, Yang Xuangan accepted the suggestion, lifted the siege of the East Capital, led the army westward, and prepared to seize Guanzhong. However, Yang Zhi, the satrap of Red Valley, blocked the way and delayed three precious days. Yang Xuangan's army was overtaken by Yuwen Shu and others, and Yang Xuangan was losing ground. In August, Sui Jun and Yang Xuangan fought a decisive battle, with Yuwen Shu and Laihuer in the front, and sent Qu Tutong to attack them with Indiana Jones, which was a big break. Yang Xuangan only led more than ten riders to Shangluo (now Luonan, Shaanxi). Yang Xuangan knew that the tide was over and committed suicide.
Ten years of great cause (6 14), Yuwen Shu was ordered to March eastward and follow Yang Di's Three Signs of Koguryo. In the 11th year of Daye (6 15), Yuwen Shu visited Saibei with Yang Di. In July of the 12th year of Daye (6 16), Xinlongzhou in Jiangdu was sent to Du Dong. When Yuwen Shu saw that he still wanted to cruise, he proposed to visit Jiangdu. Yang Di was very happy. That month, Emperor Yang Di visited Jiangdu. In the 12th year of Daye (6 16), Yuwen Shu fell ill and died. Posthumous title Situ, Shang Shuling, ten county satrap, posthumous title as a tribute.
