The development of Pingju relies on the charm of Pingju art itself to impress the audience, but in the market economy society, Pingju market needs Pingju people to promote it.

In this era, there is no shortage of good actors in Pingju, and more professionals who love Pingju are needed to constantly push Pingju to the market and let more and more audiences recognize Pingju. Now the drama is not working, it's a bit deserted. Although the government also has a lot of financial support for Pingju, the publicity has been greatly reduced. Many domestic audiences, especially young audiences, have never heard of Pingju from the mass media. They are born in contact with cultures that can become popular by being out of tune, taking pictures and dislocation. I've never heard of Pingju, how can I like it? They have a misunderstanding about Pingju, thinking that Pingju, like Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera, is an elegant art, but it is actually very popular and civilian. Although Pingju is out of date, I think people all over the country listen to and sing it as a popular song. Wonderful aria such as Flowers as Media and Liu Qiaoer are all over the streets, from vendors and pawns to officials, businessmen and literati, humming Ju Ping. No wonder Pingju can't work today, which is related to historical reasons, that is, Pingju has not been understood and recognized by more people.

Chen Shengli has been committed to the revitalization, prosperity and popularization of Pingju, pushing Pingju to a small climax again and again. However, personal ability is limited after all. The great revival of Pingju requires more people like Chen Shengli to keep forging ahead and make selfless contributions to Pingju silently.

With its own advantages and unique network resources, Chen Shengli has made unremitting efforts for the inheritance and development of Pingju. 1985 (or 1986), he took the lead in advocating, planning and organizing a national Pingju concert-Pingju Party Concert, which made dozens of respected old artists such as six-year-old children, Yang Lanfen, Lian Xiaojun, Hua Yuexian, Xing and so on re-enter the stage and record and video, becoming Pingju in the post-Cultural Revolution period.

With the support of relevant departments, Chen Shengli planned and produced the Pingju art TV series Biography of Liu Qiaoer and Story of Wuyu Village, and played the leading role of Zhao Zhuer in Biography of Liu Qiaoer, supported relevant departments to shoot Bao Gong series and Qin Xianglian, and participated in the overall planning, production and important role performance of Pingju TV series Life and Death Field. In 2008, he served as the manager of China Pingju Grand Theatre.

A leap from state-run troupe to private troupe

The reason why he came to the private Pingju Troupe was not only moved by the persistence and spirit of Liu Jianguo, the head of the troupe, but also because Chen Shengli wanted to train young actors and create a new generation of Pingju successors through the flexible private Pingju Troupe. Chen Shengli, who has been engaged in drama evaluation all his life, tried to try a brand-new management concept in the state-run troupe, but he never got it. Until his retirement, he was full of youthful blood with his artistic level, personal resources and enthusiasm for drama evaluation. In recent years, Beijing Kong Ling Pingju Troupe has spared no effort to introduce new people and realized the inheritance of Pingju art.

At present, Pingju is not prosperous and faces the test of cultural system reform. Many state-owned academies can only live on government subsidies, and their market adaptability is extremely poor. However, under the leadership of Chen Shengli, Kong Ling Pingju Troupe of Beijing School, as a new force in Pingju, is full of vitality. The troupe, which has just been established for three years, has formed a strong influence throughout the country. Chen Shengli believes that in the declining stage of Pingju performance market, an important reason why the troupe can go against the trend is that it is close to the masses and the lives of ordinary people.

Chen Shengli continues to explore the market, opening up a new world for private Pingju Opera Troupe. Since becoming artistic director, he has resumed the performance of classic plays that have not been performed for many years. Once the traditional famous drama Legend of the Warrior and the modern drama Wildfire and Spring Breeze Fighting the Ancient City were staged, they attracted the keen attention of the industry.

In order to restore the classic dramas that rarely see the stage, realize the purpose of inheritance and development, and let the young and beautiful new generation actors experience the charm of traditional Ju Ping and lay a solid foundation; Through the combination of famous artists and powerful players, it has created a market road; On the basis of becoming stronger and bigger, we will create unique original dramas such as "Green Love Song" and "Kitchen God" on the principle of inheritance.
