Jimei University is a "double-first-class" university in Fujian Province, and a key public comprehensive university in Fujian Province. From 65438 to 0994, Jimei Normal College, Jimei Navigation College, Jimei Finance and Economics College, Xiamen Fisheries College and Fujian Institute of Physical Education merged to form Jimei University. In 2004, the former Xiamen Industrial School merged.
