He used to be secretary, deputy director and director of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis of Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, deputy director and director of the basic course department, secretary of the General Party Branch, secretary of the Party Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, director of the personnel department, and vice president of Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

He is currently vice president of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, vice president of Hunan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and member of the Party Committee.
