From 65438 to 0988, Wu was born in an ordinary worker's family in Yangpu District, Shanghai. According to his father Wu Guixin, he couldn't even lift his head when he was 9 months old because he was choked by amniotic fluid at birth. Later, X-ray examination found that a section of his cerebral blood vessel was blocked by a lump, forming cerebral palsy.
In the hospital, when they saw the baby who didn't even have the strength to cry, many doctors said, "This child may spend his life in bed." But grandma Wu was not discouraged. She firmly believes that her grandson will stand up one day.
1995 One summer morning, Grandma Wu took seven-year-old Wu to see a doctor as usual. As soon as she entered the hospital, Grandma Wu, who was extremely tired, felt that her legs began to stop working, and the sweat of beans rolled down from her wrinkled forehead. Seeing this scene, Xiao Miaofang, who has begun to understand, cried and begged her grandmother to put him down. But just as Grandma Wu was wiping the sweat, the little girl sitting against the wall stood up slowly, and then took a small step forward with her hand on the wall.
Under the care of grandma and the whole family, Wu miraculously stood up, but he still couldn't walk like a normal person. At the age of 9, the Wu family took them everywhere to study. Yangpu District Navigation Auxiliary School heard the touching story of the Miao family and accepted the Miao family.
Miao Fang's first contact with basketball was in the sailing auxiliary school. At first, Miao Fang didn't listen to him when dribbling, and he missed 10. Wei Wu, a school PE teacher, took pains to teach Miao Fang repeatedly. He finally mastered the basic essentials of playing basketball, and later learned the rhythm of dribbling, and even learned to run, pass and shoot.
After unremitting efforts, Wu quickly became a Special Olympics basketball player. In 2006, at the Shanghai Special Olympics, Wu won the individual technical gold medal. Later, at the 4th National Special Olympics held in Harbin, Wu represented Shanghai in the basketball competition and won the championship. Today, Wu, who is less than 19 years old, has become the basketball ambassador of the 2007 World Special Olympics and frequently appears on the screen. (According to Xinmin Weekly, Zhang Wei/Wen)
