George Lam studied in English Diocesan Boys' College and Dover College. When I was a student, I organized a band. 1976 released the first English album LAM. Later, many Cantonese albums were released. He has also made many films, including Go to the Angry Sea, Owl and Dumbo, and Three-person World. He also co-produced TV series "It's not that friends don't get together" and "Four Seasons" with Wang Mingquan on TVB.
George Lam is a singer-songwriter. He knows how to play guitar and piano. He wrote many famous songs, such as In the middle of the water, I need you every minute, several love songs, Memories, Who can understand me, This Night and so on. George Lam's beard is impressive (he started growing it in 1976). 1980 won two golden melody awards in the Top Ten Golden Melody Awards Concert of the 3rd Chinese Golden Melody Awards with two songs: In the Middle of the Water and Minutes Need You. George Lam won the "Golden Needle Award, the highest honor in Hong Kong Music" at the17th "Top Ten Golden Melody Awards Concert" held by Radio Television Hong Kong 1994. In 2003, George Lam won the Cash Music Achievement Award.

In 2002, the concert "Hong Kong Music-George Lam" was held.
On May 30th, 2003, at the invitation of Wang Mingquan, George Lam was invited to attend a concert in the Hong Kong Gymnasium. He accidentally stepped on a big hole on the stage, fell in and hit his head on the ground. As a result, his hearing was impaired and he needed to rest for a long time.
In June 2005, George Lam came back and held a concert called "Love Children".
From June 7th to June 20th, 2007 10, George Lam and Du Lisha held the concert "Still Love George Lam Du Lisha Best".
In 2007, the new Guangdong album George Global was released.
