Zhang Yuheng, 1938, was born in Suqian, Jiangsu on February 28th (the 29th day of the first lunar month). From September 1950 to early July 1953, I studied in Suqian Middle School in Jiangsu Province, from September 1953 to June 1954, and then transferred to Anhui Huaiyuan No.1 Middle School where my father taught.

196 1 graduated from the Physics Department of Nanjing University, 1965 graduated from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After 1976, he taught at China University of Science and Technology and was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences in June 2005.

At present, he is the chief scientist of High Magnetic Field Science Center of China Academy of Sciences, part-time researcher of Institute of Solids of China Academy of Sciences, distinguished member of China Advanced Technology Center (for life), member of Academic Committee of Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, State Key Laboratory of Artificial Microstructure and Mesoscopic Physics of Peking University, State Key Laboratory of Solid Microstructure Physics of Nanjing University, and deputy director of Superconducting Electronics Professional Committee of Chinese Institute of Electronics. He used to be a member of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the National Natural Science Foundation, a judge of the Department of Materials, and an executive deputy editor of the Journal of Cryogenic Physics. 1989- 1997, director of the structural open laboratory of China academy of sciences and director of the structural center of China university of science and technology.
