Introduction to General Wang Zhanshan:

Wang Zhanshan, male, Han nationality,1born in February, 929,1joined the party in August, 948, a native of Fengnan, Hebei Province, a former deputy divisional consultant of Anyang Military Division in Henan Province, and a representative of the Fourth and Fifth National People's Congress. Hundreds of veterans with outstanding military achievements have successively participated in self-defense counterattacks in Liaoning, Shenyang, Ping Jin, Hengbao, Guangdong and Guangxi, fought to resist US aggression and aid Korea, and fought bravely on the Sino-Vietnamese border. They were cordially received by the chairman four times.

During the campaign to resist US aggression and aid Korea in Jincheng, he led his comrades to hold their positions for 4 days and 4 nights, repelling enemy attacks 38 times and annihilating more than 400 people. After leaving the army, he devoted himself to national defense and spread the red revolutionary gene. Won the honorary titles of "Second Class Fighting Hero" of the Volunteers and "Advanced Individual of Retired Cadres in China", and was awarded the "First Class Flag Medal" by North Korea.

Among the 29 medal winners, there are four veterans: one is Guo Ruixiang, a centenarian veteran of the Red Army, who participated in the revolution in the early days of the Anti-Japanese War; Wang Zhanshan, Sun Jingkun and Chai Yunzhen, three veterans, gave their lives for the new China.

On June 29th, 2002/KLOC-0, Wang Zhanshan was awarded the "July 1st Medal" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
