Li Shijie, born in 1969, holds a bachelor's degree in modern economic management and has worked in Foshan Industrial and Commercial Bank for fifteen years. At present, he is an artist member of China Ink Painting Research Association, a calligraphy member of China Couplet, a member of Guangdong Artists Association, a member of Guangdong Calligraphers Association, a director of Foshan Artists Association, a director of Foshan Calligraphers Association and a vice president of Foshan Arts and Crafts Creation Institute. He studied under the famous painter and grandfather Sun Wenbin, and inherited the art of Wu Changshuo. His works are atmospheric, lively, fresh and elegant, and have the reputation of "the king of peony". Calligraphy and painting works have won many awards in national, provincial and municipal calligraphy and painting competitions; Among them, his works won the bronze medal once in the painting and calligraphy contest sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, twice in the painting and calligraphy contest sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and twice in the painting and calligraphy contest sponsored by the China Artists Association and CCTV.
