2015 April 13, the 17th meeting of the standing Committee of the third people's congress of Zhoukou decided to appoint Wang Tianye as the deputy mayor of Zhoukou municipal people's government.

On the afternoon of June 29th, 20 15, Xihua County Committee of the Communist Party of China held a county-wide meeting of leading cadres to convey the decision of the provincial party committee and the municipal party committee on the post adjustment of the main leading comrades of Xihua County Committee: to appoint Comrade Lin Hongjia as the secretary of Xihua County Committee of the Communist Party of China; Wang Tianye was relieved from the post of secretary of Xihua County Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Leijin, member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Organization Department, and Wang Tianye, vice mayor attended the meeting.
