Babaoshan cemetery is roughly divided into revolutionary cemetery and people's cemetery. In the revolutionary cemetery, it can be divided into one, two and three types of cemeteries and columbariums. On both sides of the boulevard north of the main entrance of the cemetery, there are tombs No.2 and No.3; Go to the end of the avenue, and you can reach the columbarium and a cemetery. Generally speaking, the level of leading cadres and people from all walks of life buried in the first cemetery is higher, while the level of the second and third cemeteries is slightly lower.
"Provisional Regulations on the burial of revolutionary cemeteries" stipulates in Article 3:
According to the level of cadres, the land for tombs is divided into three areas, and tombs must be used in the order and size of each area, and no choice or expansion is allowed.
The first area is to bury cadres at or above the county level and revolutionary soldiers at or above the regiment level. The tomb is 12 feet long and 6 feet wide.
The second area is the burial of cadres above the provincial level and revolutionary soldiers above the corps level. This tomb is 18 feet long and 18 feet wide, or 24 feet long and 24 feet wide.
In the third district, if burial has made a special contribution to the revolution, the size of the tomb shall be stipulated separately. According to this regulation, the division of cemetery area is as follows: in front of the temple is the cemetery area of county-level cadres; On the east side behind the temple is the tomb area of prefectural-level cadres; On the west side is the tomb area of provincial cadres; Further up is the tomb of the central leading cadres.
