Huang Beijia, a native of Rugao, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1955. Now he is a member of the whole garden Committee of Chinese Writers Association, vice chairman of Jiangsu Writers Association and director of the creative office of Jiangsu Writers Association. Since the publication of the first novel Supplementary Number 1973, more than 5 million words of short stories, essays, children's literature and film and television plays have been published. His works have won the National Excellent Children's Literature Award, the "Five Ones" Project Award in Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the National Excellent Children's Literature Book Award, Bingxiner Water Literature Award, Soong Ching Ling Children's Literature Award and dozens of provincial literature awards. Movies, TV plays and dramas adapted from these works have won the Golden Box Award of the International TV Festival, the China Film Observation Award, the Flying Award of Chinese TV Plays, and the National "Five Ones" Project Award. Many works have been translated and published abroad.
