He has been engaged in general surgery for more than forty years and has accumulated rich clinical experience in gastrointestinal and pancreatic surgery and its nutritional support. The main medical expertise is the diagnosis and surgical treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreatic tumors, and the postoperative survival rate of gastric cancer patients has been significantly improved. At present, he is recognized as the leader of standard lymph node dissection and extended resection for gastric cancer in China. He has been invited by large medical institutions in more than 30 provinces and cities in China to give surgical performances and academic lectures on gastric cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
He was invited to give academic reports and served as the chairman of major international academic conferences held in Switzerland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the United States and Brazil. Successfully completed the first abdominal multi-organ transplantation and liver transplantation for gastric cancer, colorectal cancer and liver metastasis in Asia in cooperation with organ transplantation department of our hospital.
1994 was the first to advocate and carry out total mesorectal excision for colon cancer in China, and was the first to report the results of randomized controlled study on rectal reconstruction with colon bag in China. From 2004 to 2008, he led the national 16 large-scale teaching hospital to carry out postoperative adjuvant therapy research for patients with high-risk recurrent and metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumors and clinical randomized controlled study of low-nitrogen and low-calorie nutritional support after gastrointestinal surgery.
In recent 10 years, he served as the chairman of the National Academic Conference of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Chinese Medical Association for many times, and twice as the president and chairman of the International Academic Conference of Parenteral Nutrition of Chinese Medical Association.
