Zheng He, 137 1 was born in Kunyang, Yunnan Province (now Jinning County, Kunming City), and is a Hui family who believes in Islam. Ma Ma, whose real name is 1 1 years old, was captured in the unified Yunnan war initiated by Zhu Yuanzhang, the fourth son of Zhu Yuanzhang, and later served by Judy, the prince of Yan. 1403, Judy ascended the throne, known as Ming Chengzu in history. On the first day of the first month of the second year, I remembered that he was brave and good at fighting, and he repeatedly made outstanding achievements, so he gave his surname Zheng, changed his name to Zheng He, and was promoted to eunuch in the inner palace. In the third year of Yongle (1405 July 1 1), he led a huge fleet to the western ocean for the first time. During the long 28 years from 1405 to 1433, Zheng He's fleet traveled through more than 30 countries in Asia and Africa, with a journey of100000, and established political, economic and cultural ties with other countries, completing the great historical feat of seven voyages to the Western Ocean.

Liujiagang (now Liuhe Town, Taicang City), the anchorage of Zheng He's seven voyages to the West, is located at the intersection of Liuhe and the Yangtze River, with rich resources and convenient land and water transportation. Before Zheng He's fleet was assembled in Liujiagang, every time he went to the Princess Palace in the town to offer sacrifices to Tian Fei, so that Qibao could get in and out safely. In the sixth year of Xuande (143 1), a stone tablet was carved to commemorate the achievements of Tianfei Palace in Liujiagang. So this place is an important historical relic of Zheng He's voyage to the West.
