In 1950s, Chen Kezheng created a female chorus "Please Come to Our Mountain Area", which was warmly welcomed. Later, Chen Kezheng wrote such popular lyrics as Uncle Kuban, On the Camping Road and Tarim River.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Chen Kezheng participated in the creation of Goodbye, Mom, Jaxy in Dazhai, March in Unity between the Army and the People, Return to Yan 'an, Spring is Forever in the Motherland, March in Unity between the Army and the People, Soldiers in Tianshan Mountains, Song of the Forest and other works, which became well-known classics.

1992, Chen Kezheng published a collection of lyrics "A bunch of camellia", 1998 published a collection of lyrics and a collection of songs "Goodbye Mom".

There are many kinds of Chen Kezheng's works, including delicate and affectionate solo, duet, humorous and cheerful performance, chorus and grand, enthusiastic and bold chorus.

In the past decades, Chen Kezheng has created and published more than 1000 works with different forms, themes and genres, including operetta, poetry recitation, lyric prose, music criticism and so on. Among them, more than 60 works have won prizes in literary competitions and performances of the whole country and the whole army, and some works have become classics that have been spread throughout the country and sung for a long time.

Personal life

Chen Ke is a famous military poet in China. State-level screenwriters enjoy special allowances from the state government. He used to be the director of the Song and Dance Troupe Creation Office of the General Political Department, the director of the China Musicians Association, the song editorial board of the Chinese Music Association, and the researcher of the Military Music Research Institute of the PLA Art Institute.

Chen Kezheng was awarded second class merit 1 time and third class merit twice.
