Wu Qiang graduated from the Decoration Department of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, and stayed there to teach (now Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts). Now she is a researcher at the Guanzhong Art Research Center in Tsinghua University.

Wu Qiang has been an artist for more than half a century and devoted himself to the innovation of Chinese painting and the exploration of new image oil painting. Connecting the past with the future, combining Chinese and western styles, wandering between ink painting and oil painting, eclectic expression techniques and mixed with oriental charm.
