Qin Guan, a famous poet in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty, was called "the four sons of Su Men" together with Huang Tingjian, Zhang Lei and Chao Bubu, and was praised by Su Shi. In Xi's eleven years of writing "Huang Lou Fu", Su Shi praised him as "a waste of talent". In the seventh year of Yuan Dynasty, Qin Guan compiled ten volumes of Lost Poems, for which Su Shi wrote a book and recommended it to Wang Anshi. Wang Anshi called him "Bao and Xie Qingxin". Qin Guan's literary achievements are brilliant, because he is often guided by famous teachers and often plays with his classmates. 1085 was admitted to Yuanfeng Jinshi. He is the master of Dinghai and the pioneering work of Professor Cai Zhou. From 65438 to 0087, Su Shi was introduced as Dr. imperial academy of Yuan You. Later, he became the secretary of the provincial government and the editor of the National Institute of History. From 65438 to 0094, Song Zhezong came to power as a "new party" after Yuan Shao's government, and many "old parties" were deposed. Qin took office in Hangzhou, demoted to Zhou, served as wine tax supervisor, then moved to Chenzhou, edited Hengzhou, and then moved to Leizhou. After Hui Zong acceded to the throne, Qin Guan was appointed as Fu Xuandelang and died in Tengzhou on his way back to the North.
His prose is good at argument, and The History of Song Dynasty evaluates his prose as "gentle". His poems are good at expressing feelings. Taosun Ao's "Poetry Review" said, "Qin Shaoyou, like a spring outing woman, will eventually be injured and weak." He was a famous graceful poet in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Most of his words describe the love between men and women and express the sadness of career frustration. His writing skills are exquisite, his melody is harmonious and beautiful, and he is an emotional winner. But its words are euphemistic and its language is pessimistic. Some works are exquisite after all. His representative works include Queqiao Fairy, Looking at the Tide of the Sea, Mei Yingshu, Man Fang Ting, Summer Wei Yun and so on. In Man Fang Ting, it is called "Turning Decadence into Magic", "Sunset sets, West Western jackdaw counts, and lonely villages are surrounded by flowing water", which is called "natural good words". The etymology of the Southern Song Dynasty said: "The word system is elegant, the soul is not bad, the pulse is always clear and beautiful, and the taste is known for a long time." His Silkworm Book is the earliest extant monograph on sericulture in China. He is very good at calligraphy. He imitates Zhong Wang with lowercase letters, which is very cute. His cursive script has the flavor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and he studied lowercase Yan Zhenqing. In the fourth year of Jian 'an in the Southern Song Dynasty, the court posthumously awarded Qin Guan as "Bachelor of Zhilong Tuge" and later called "Huaihai Gong".
