Volkswagen FAW Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. is a Sino-German joint venture jointly invested by Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and China FAW Group Corporation. The investment ratio is 6:4, of which 60% is German and 40% is China.

The project products are the latest global concept engines developed by Audi of Volkswagen Group, namely 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter four-valve turbocharged gasoline direct injection technology engines, code-named EA888.
