Hong Kong Guo Zhaoming was born in Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Guo Zhaoming is a famous businessman, philanthropist and social activist in Hong Kong. My ancestral home is Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Born in Hong Kong, Guo Zhaoming founded a number of companies, the most famous of which is Hutchison Whampoa Group, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is one of the largest mainland shipping companies in Hong Kong. Guo Zhaoming also took an active part in charity, donated money to help students, and helped fight against the epidemic, which won wide acclaim from the society. He died in 2020 at the age of 73.
