Huang, 1984, Bachelor of Agriculture, Zhejiang Agricultural University; 1987, obtained a master's degree in economics from China Renmin University; 1994, Ph.D. in Economics from Australian National University. Huang is the vice president and professor of Peking University National Development Research Institute; Director, Digital Finance Research Center, Peking University.
Huang's main research fields are macroeconomics and international finance. In addition, he is Rio Tinto China Professor of Economics at Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, a member of China Financial 40 Forum, a member of China Economic 50 Forum, the editor-in-chief of the English academic journal China Economic Journal and the deputy editor-in-chief of Asian Economic Policy Review.
