basic content
First, personal basic information
Personal information. Including name, date of birth, gender, address, contact number and email address.
1) Westerners often confuse surnames with first names, which leads to the inversion of names on I20 forms issued after admission. Then you have to contact the school to modify it before mailing it, which is very troublesome. Therefore, it is suggested that in resumes or various application forms, the Chinese pinyin of surnames should be capitalized, and the Chinese pinyin of first names should only be capitalized, and the order of surnames and first names is not important. Of course, you can also use your name and gender as the title of your resume, such as Zhang.
2) In the United States, the format of birth date is year, month and day. If 1987 was born on May 28th, then 05/28/ 1987 should be filled in.
3) The address must be filled in accurately, otherwise the receipt of the admission package may be delayed. If the home address is not convenient to receive the package, you can write mailingaddress and permanentaddress in your resume, so that the school will generally send the package to mailingaddress. If you live in an alley, experts studying in Cai Bin suggest not to translate the address, but to use pinyin directly.
4) For telephone contact, add the telephone number and area code to the country, separated by a short horizontal line, and do not add "0" before the city area code. For example, the format of Beijing landline is 0086- 10-63 103650 instead of 0086-0103650.
5) E-mail is very important, so be sure to leave a valid one, because in the application process, E-mail will become the main communication method between you and the school.
6) honor. Academic and social activities should be respected. Including the award-winning name, award-winning time, award-winning unit, award-winning reason, award-winning proportion, etc. can be simply explained. If there are outstanding awards in secondary schools that are strongly related to the applied major, they should also be written in. Or the total number of awards is small, and special prizes for middle schools can be added.
Second, personal published works
Publications. Including book title, author, time and magazine (including page number) (in both Chinese and English, the original magazine shall prevail).
Third, personal skills.
Skills. According to the degree of relevance to the major you are applying for, you will generally put the skills that are closer or more important at the forefront.
Fourth, others.
Others. Including standardized test scores, computer level, main experimental skills, hobbies and so on. If you do well in studying abroad, you should emphasize that each individual achievement should be separated. If you have hobbies that reflect the spirit of adventure and innovation, such as extreme sports and mountain racing, you can focus on them.
Writing skills
1, your application documents will be sent to the five schools you choose, so don't mention any university in the documents;
2. There is a word limit for the application documents: 4,000 letters or 47 lines, including spaces and blank lines. Recommend a word number checking tool: Studential length checker;;
3. Make sure not to copy-UCAS has a special system to check;
4. Show in the document that you are very interested in the subject you are applying for and know enough;
5. Ask others to help proofread the language and put an end to spelling and grammar mistakes;
6. Don't write-if it has nothing to do with the subject you are applying for, you don't need to introduce your family; There is no need to introduce how good the results are, and the quality of the results can be seen on UCAS; Do not write "Shakespeare"; No big talk, no need to sublimate the theme, please get to the point!
7. Don't write that you have a dream balabala…… ... because when you were very young ... this has been used up!
