Comrade Xu Guozhen is a native of Tianshui County, Gansu Province. He was born in 19 12. He joined the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants in193/0, joined the Chinese Communist Youth League in the same year, and joined China in 1932. Successive squad leader, platoon leader, company commander, instructor, battalion commander, colonel, division commander, first deputy commander of provincial military region, deputy commander of Lanzhou military region, and consultant of Lanzhou military region. 1955 conferred the rank of Major General and was elected as a member of the Sixth Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference. /kloc-0 died in Lanzhou in May, 1993.
