Since 2007, he has served as the vice president and secretary general of China Community Health Association, director of China Hospital Association, standing committee member of the Management Branch of Maternal and Child Health Hospital of China Hospital Association, and standing committee member of the General Practitioner Branch of Chinese Medical Association. At the same time, he served as the editorial board of China Community Physician and China General Medicine. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects, such as the international cooperation project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the national tenth five-year plan for tackling key scientific and technological problems and the national eleventh five-year plan for supporting science and technology. He has won 4 scientific and technological progress awards in Beijing. In 2002, the Communist Youth League Beijing Committee awarded the May 4th Medal, in 2004, it was awarded the advanced science popularization worker in Beijing by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, and in 2007, the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions awarded Beijing the title of "Model of Economic and Technological Innovation".

On the afternoon of May 24th, 20 12, an award ceremony was held at the 65th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. The President of this session, Ms. Niedri You Man, Minister of Health of C? te d 'Ivoire, Director-General Chen Fengfuzhen of the World Health Organization, and Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates presented the "UAE Health Fund Award" to researcher Chen Bowen, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Community Health Association and Deputy Director of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, in recognition of their contributions in the field of community health.
