In the archives of Wanzhou District, researcher Wang Li took out the navigation route map of the Japanese bomber and the detailed record book of the bombing. The author saw that every piece of paper was framed and bound into a book.
Turning over piles of yellow paper, Wang Li pointed to the drawings above and said, "1937, after the full-scale outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the National Government set up an organization called Wanxian Air Defense Command. Many surveillance posts have been set up along the Yangtze River. When the Japanese bomber strikes, report to the Air Defense Command. "
When these surveillance posts see enemy planes, they will not only record the date, model and quantity of enemy planes coming, but also draw the route of enemy planes coming and going in detail, and then report it to the air defense headquarters, and then the headquarters will mark the dropping points on it and draw a book.
On a navigation route map, the author saw the detailed record of Japanese bombing of cities along the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River clearly written in red ink:12:15, Japanese bombers passed Yunyang; 12: 30 arrived in Kaixian county; 13: 36 arrived in Liangshan (now Liangping) and dropped bombs; /kloc-arrived in Wanxian at 0/3: 09, and Wanxian was bombed. Finally, the enemy plane turned back from Yunyang.
Looking through the archives, the author saw a questionnaire about the losses caused by enemy bombing, which recorded the casualties caused by the indiscriminate bombing of Wanxian by Japanese planes on July 28, 1940: the main palace school on Ermayina Road in Wanxian was bombed, 56 students were killed, 3 were dead and 3 were able-bodied men.
Another "Investigation Form on Bombing Losses of Enemy Aircraft" wrote: Xiaoxiping in the urban area was bombed, 5 incendiary bombs were dropped, 24 bombs were dropped, and 8 people were injured.
Extended data:
