He used to be Party Secretary of Pingshan Township, Shicheng County, Jiangxi Province, Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Minister of Shicheng County Committee, Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Minister of Dayu County Committee, Standing Committee Member and Deputy County Magistrate of Dayu County Committee, Deputy Secretary and County Magistrate of Xinfeng County Committee of Jiangxi Province, Secretary of Quannan County Committee of Jiangxi Province, and Secretary of Xingguo County Committee of Jiangxi Province.

In May 2008, he served as a member of the party group and deputy director of the Legislative Affairs Office of Jiangxi Province;
