Ge Fei, formerly known as Liu Yong, 1964, was born in Dantu, Jiangsu. 198 1 was admitted to the Chinese Department of East China Normal University in Shanghai, and stayed there to teach after graduation. Now he is a member of Chinese Writers Association and a professor of Chinese Department of Tsinghua University. He has visited Germany, Sweden, Japan and other countries. Teaching writing, novel narratology, Bergman and European films. He has visited Germany, Sweden, Japan, South Korea and other countries, and his works have been translated into many languages and published abroad. 1986 published the first novel "In memory of Mr. Bird Friends". 1987, he published his famous work "The Lost Ship", and since then, he has become famous among "avant-garde writers" with "narrative vacancy". The novella Brown Bird, published in 1988, was once considered as the most profound novel in contemporary China, and became an example when people talked about avant-garde literature. So far, there have been novels The Enemy, The Edge, The Flag of Desire and Peach Blossom with Face (I), and novellas include The Lost Ship, The Whistle, The Feeling of Rainy Season, etc. 1995, Ge Fei's collected works (three volumes) were published.
