During the period of 1978, Dedema gained great attention in the singing circle by virtue of "Beautiful Grassland My Home". 1982 transferred to the Central National Song and Dance Troupe as a solo. 1986 won the bel canto "Haojiang Cup" award in the "National Audience's Favorite Singer" competition, and held a solo concert in Beijing on 1988.
