Beijing:
Beijing receives seven channels: CCTV 1, CCTV3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV9, CCTV Children, CCTV News and Beijing TV Station. The signal is smooth when walking and driving, and there is no jam. In offices and residences, signal reception and broadcasting are normal. However, we lost the signal when we drove near the East Fifth Ring Railway Bridge, and it didn't return to normal until we crossed the Yaojiayuan Bridge. There is no signal in most other sections, even though some cards sometimes recover instantly. According to official data, in Beijing, CMMB signals can already cover eight districts and suburban counties. Due to the influence of time and distance, we didn't go to suburban counties for actual testing.
Shanghai:
The coverage of CMMB in Shanghai is not bad. As we all know, due to the influence of wall shielding and other factors, indoor CMMB signals are often weak. In the first communication city, which claims to have completed the indoor CMMB signal coverage project of Tianmu Road, the original G5 1 channel was opened, and the diving competition being broadcast live by CCTV soon appeared on the screen. The tester walked around with the machine, and the video was very smooth.
Guangzhou:
Guangzhou can receive eight channels that can be watched normally, including CCTV 1, CCTV3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV9, CCTV Children, CCTV News, Guangzhou News Channel and Guangzhou TV Station. The measured videos of Tianhe City Building and China Plaza are relatively smooth, but on the way to China Plaza by subway 1 line, the testers found that there was no signal in the subway at all. In order to eliminate the cause of the machine, the tester changed the machine test of the other two brands, but still could not find the signal.
Tianjin:
Tianjin can receive eight channels that can be watched normally, including CCTV 1, CCTV3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV9, CCTV Children, CCTV News and Tianjin Local Station. Under the guidance of local friends, the testers wandered around the city for a long time, and the reception was generally satisfactory. Near the water drop in Tianjin (in fact, there is a distance from here, which requires security check), the video effect is also very smooth.
Nanjing:
At present, Nanjing can receive seven channels that can be watched normally, including CCTV 1, CCTV3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV9, CCTV Children, CCTV News and Jiangsu Satellite TV. Except near the Purple Mountain, the testers found that the signal was not very strong, and other places were relatively smooth.
Shenzhen:
In Shenzhen, you can receive mobile TV, CCTV News, CCTV- 1, CCTV-3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV-9 and CCTV Children. Just got off the train, at Luohu Railway Station, the tester turned on the machine. Although the reception effect is not good, the video is still very smooth. Near Nanyou and the shopping park, the reception effect is not bad. Generally speaking, the reception effect in the urban area is acceptable, but the signal in the railway station is slightly worse due to the influence of surrounding buildings and antenna elevation angle.
Shenyang:
In Beiling Park, testers tried to watch CCTV5 Olympic Channel, but the reception effect was slightly poor and the video was slightly stuck. In addition, including in the vicinity of Wulihe Stadium, the video reception is very smooth, and there will be no signal when taxis cross some bridges, but they will be restored in an instant.
Jinan:
In Jinan, you can see CCTV News, CCTV- 1, CCTV-3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV-9, CCTV Children and local TV stations. In front of the provincial sports center on Jingshi Road, testers tried CCTV-5 Olympic Channel, and the video effect was quite good. However, when the testers watched it in a hotel on Hanyu Road, the effect was not very good, but it was barely acceptable. We know from the relevant information that the CMMB network in Jinan currently uses directional antennas, so the coverage in the southeast of Jinan is poor, and the effect in the west and north is good.
Qingdao:
Qingdao is the first city in China that successfully opened CMMB signal. Before the test, we were optimistic about the signal coverage here. From the actual situation, it is true. Testers watched the Olympic Sailing Competition near the stadium and May 4th Square, and the results were satisfactory.
Fuzhou:
Before coming, I learned from the news that the height of Fuzhou transmitting antenna is 122 meters from the ground, and Pingshan, located in the northwest, has formed a shadow area on the coverage of mobile signals. The actual test of the tester shows that the signal here is really a bit unsatisfactory. But in the urban area, the overall reception effect is still good. At present, six programs including CCTV News, CCTV- 1, CCTV-3, CCTV5 Olympic Channel, CCTV-9 and CCTV-7 can be received in Fuzhou.
Nanchang:
Anyone who has been to Nanchang knows that there are many tall buildings in the northwest corner of the city, so we expected that the reception effect might be bad before the test, and it was, but it was smooth on the whole. The others did a good job.
Chengdu:
Before coming to Chengdu, we got a message that the height of the transmitting antenna in Chengdu is 322 meters above the ground, which is the highest point in the whole urban area of Chengdu, so our estimation of the reception situation here is optimistic. The actual test also proves this point. The coverage of CMMB signals in all directions is relatively uniform, and the outdoor reception coverage effect of the first ring road, the second ring road, the third ring road and the expressway around the city is better.
Zhengzhou:
The signal in the northeast corner and northwest corner of the Third Ring Road is slightly poor, which is probably the reason for the occlusion of high-rise buildings, but overall, the coverage effect of Zhengzhou Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) system is still good.
Xining:
The reception effect of the hotel where the testers stayed in Zhongnanguan Street was slightly poor, which may be due to the terrain and buildings. The reception effect was good on the west side of the city because it was close to the launch pad.
Yinchuan:
Yinchuan has the reputation of "Jiangnan", but the signal coverage of CMMB mobile TV in Yinchuan is not optimistic. In the old city, the estimation effect is poor due to the occlusion of buildings. In the west of the city, the effect is not very good because the altitude is close to the height of the launch pad. Overall, the coverage effect of CMMB mobile TV signals in the whole city needs to be improved.
During the test, pull the original G5 1 mobile TV antenna to the maximum length and adjust the antenna angle. The received TV signal is very clear, the sound is loud and normal, and the picture is smooth. After watching it for a long time, I found that the picture would get stuck occasionally, which was a signal problem. The antenna angle needs to be adjusted to ensure the best viewing effect. There is no difference in sound and picture steps during the test.
Testers have also used other products in the market during the test, but some signals of these products are more or less unsatisfactory when the original channel G5 1 can be watched normally. In the test, we tried to change the speed of many cities. The actual results show that the speed has little influence on the reception of CMMB signal. Even at the speed of 100 km/h, the reception effect of the original G5 1 mobile TV is also smooth.
According to the test results, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao and other places have good signal coverage. I believe that with the continuous improvement of the network by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the coverage of cities in the future will be greatly improved.
In addition, it should be noted that in some cities that have opened subways, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, CMMB mobile TV network has almost no coverage in the subway, and the same situation also appears in high-speed elevators. In other words, there are basically no CMMB signals in subways and high-speed elevators. In fact, this is not difficult to understand. In many subway stations and elevators, the coverage of wireless networks, including cell phone signals, is still unsatisfactory. This situation is estimated to be difficult to change in a short time.
If you find that there is no CMMB signal in your city, or the signal is not ideal, don't worry. Sun, deputy director of the Radio Bureau of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and head of China Broadcasting Mobile, revealed that the signal is expected to cover the whole country in the second half of 2008. I believe that cities with unsatisfactory signals can also be improved.
