Under normal circumstances, most of them are suspected of fighting, traffic accidents, drunk driving and gambling, as well as drug addicts and pickpockets with minor circumstances (involving small property value or first-time offenders). He said that due to the complex public security situation in Baiyun District, there are a large number of detention centers with a daily capacity of 450 people, usually between 300 and 400, of which women generally account for about 1/4 of the total number of detainees.

Regarding the invasion of the privacy of female detainees, Huang Yufeng said that female criminals were held on the fourth floor of the detention area and were managed by a special policewoman. Men are not allowed to enter the women's detention room without authorization. If there are justified reasons, they must be accompanied by the police.
