On June 27th, 2009, the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress announced the appointment of Lin Yujun as the director of Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Justice, replacing Wen Qiang, the former director of Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Justice who was arrested on suspicion of serious violation of discipline and law.

It is reported that Wen Qiang, 54 years old (in 2009), was arrested on suspicion of serious violation of law and discipline, so he was removed from the post of director of the Municipal Bureau of Justice. Lin Yujun, May 20091,previously served as Deputy Director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Party Committee (director level).
