Huanggang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province. It is located in the east of Hubei Province, at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain, on the north bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and in the middle section of Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Beijing-Kowloon High-speed Railway. It is one of the member cities of Wuhan City Circle, facing Ezhou, Huangshi and Jiujiang across the river in the south, Anhui in the east and Henan in the north. It is an important national health city and the second most populous city after Wuhan.
Gang has a long history and culture, with a history of more than 2000 years.
