On July 18, 2009, the Working Committee and Management Committee of Zhengzhou New District were inaugurated, which marked a new stage of unified management and overall planning for the construction of the core area of Central Plains urban agglomeration. Li Ke, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, Wang Wenchao, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee, Wang Jumei, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and Zhang Yazhong, vice chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, attended the unveiling ceremony.

Zhengzhou New District, including Zhengdong New District, is the main part of Zhengbian New District. It starts from Zhongzhou Avenue in the west, reaches Kaifeng city boundary in the east, reaches the airport area in the south and reaches the Yellow River levee in the north, including Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Zhengzhou International Airport Area, Zhongmou Industrial Cluster Area, Zhengzhou International Logistics Park and zhongmou county, with an area of about 1840 square kilometers.

Li Gongle, deputy secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, is the director of Zhengzhou New District Management Committee and deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee.

Zhengzhou New District Administrative Committee was established in July 2009 18 and revoked in May 2065 13.

The planning scope is Zhengzhou New District. Zhengzhou New District starts from Zhongzhou Avenue in the west, reaches the eastern border of zhongmou county in the east, reaches the airport area in the south and reaches the Yellow River levee in the north, including Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Zhengzhou International Airport area and zhongmou county, with a total area of about 1.840 square kilometers.

The planning area covers the whole territory of Zhengzhou New District, including urban areas and suburbs.

Urban area refers to the area where ecological green space is formed between groups in the planned urban area of Zhengzhou New District. Suburb refers to the area outside the urban area of Zhengzhou New District, including small towns and their agricultural production space.
