Brief introduction of Li Zhensheng
On February 25th, Li Zhensheng, former vice president of China Academy of Sciences, was born in Zibo. Geneticist. 195 1 graduated from the department of agriculture of Shandong Agricultural College. Researcher, Institute of Genetics, China Academy of Sciences. 199 1 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences.
195 1- 1956 worked as a research intern in the laboratory of genetic selection of China academy of sciences, 1956- 1965 worked as an assistant researcher and deputy director of the laboratory in the northwest institute of agricultural biology of China academy of sciences. 1965- 1987 served as assistant researcher, researcher, director, deputy director, and director of research room in Northwest Institute of Botany, 1983- 1987 served as president of Xi Branch of China Academy of Sciences and Shaanxi Academy of Sciences, 1987+0992.
Li Zhensheng has been engaged in distant hybridization and chromosome engineering breeding research between wheat and thinopyrum for a long time, and has bred new hybrid types of thinopyrum, such as octoploid, alien addition line, alien substitution line and heterotopic line. The excellent genes of drought resistance, dry-hot wind resistance and resistance to many wheat diseases were transferred into wheat, and new varieties of Xiaoyanmai No.4, No.5 and No.6 were bred. Xiaoyan No.6 has a cumulative extension area of 54 million mu from 65438 to 0988, increasing the wheat yield by 3.2 billion Jin. A new wheat chromosome engineering breeding system was established, and the blue-grain single wheat system was established with the blue endosperm gene of Elytrigia repens as the genetic marker for the first time, which solved the two long-standing problems of "monovalent chromosome drift" and "excessive workload in chromosome number identification" in the process of wheat utilization. By cultivating self-fertile wheat, a new method of rapid cultivation of wheat alien substitution lines-backcross method was created, which laid the foundation for wheat chromosome engineering breeding.
Li Zhensheng is an academician of the China Academy of Sciences and the Third World Academy of Sciences. He has won the National Science Conference Award, the first and second prizes of scientific and technological achievements in Shaanxi Province, the first prize of national scientific and technological invention (1985), the Chen Jiageng Agricultural Science and Technology Award (1989) and the He Liang Heli Agricultural Science and Technology Award (1995).
