1In June, 949, the China People's Liberation Army, led by mountaineer Wang Yinsheng, climbed the northern peak of Huangfusong Huashan Mountain, thus liberating Huashan Mountain and creating the miracle that "the magic flies over the natural barrier and the hero outsmarts Huashan Mountain".
"Huashan Road since ancient times" is what the locals call the "Huashan Valley" hiking trail, including all the scenic spots along the only hiking trail in Huashan since ancient times. Together, it is the so-called "road to Huashan since ancient times", and it is the only "road" to climb Huashan since ancient times. It was not until the Huangfu Valley "outsmarted Huashan Road" was dug in the 1990s that Huashan had a second hiking trail.
During the War of Liberation (1949), the remnants of the Kuomintang wanted to take advantage of the danger of Huashan North Peak to fight back. Under the guidance of local villagers, the Eight Warriors of the People's Liberation Army used bamboo poles and ropes to climb the North Peak from the desperate situation and annihilate the garrison Huashan. This magical story was later made into a movie "Taking Huashan Mountain Outward".
At present, the "Intelligent Taking Huashan Road" built on the cliff is basically based on the original road taken by the soldiers of Huashan reconnaissance detachment, with a total length of about 2 kilometers and about 4000 steps. Visitors can go up the mountain from Huangfugu cableway station and go straight to Huashan North Peak.
The completion of Huashan Mountain Road in Zhishui has ended the history of "Huashan Mountain all the way since ancient times", and it has also become a patriotic education place and an important scenic spot for red tourism. Today, a stone pavilion with hexagonal eaves and a bucket arch carved from granite is built in front of Zhenwutang 100 meters, and there is a Huashan Liberation Monument in the pavilion.
