In the sixty-first year of Kangxi (1722), the fourth prince Yin Zhen succeeded to the throne. In order to avoid Yong Zhengdi's name, he changed his name to Yun Xiang and was named Prince He Shuoyi. He also served as the deliberation minister, dealing with important government affairs.

In the first year of Yongzheng (1723), the Prime Minister was appointed as the Minister of Household Affairs. From then on, he fully assisted Yin Zhen in governing the country, and Yin Zhen trusted him very much.

In the eighth year of Yongzheng (1730), he died on the fourth day of May (Gregorian calendar 18) at the age of 44. Posthumous title is a "sage", so he is called "Prince Yi Xian". Yongzheng made a special decree to add "loyalty, sincerity, diligence, prudence and sincerity" in front of the ancestral hall.
