Liu is famous for his short story "The Head Teacher", which is regarded as the masterpiece of scar literature. The characteristic of his works is to pay attention to reality. His novel "Bell and Drum Tower" won the Mao Dun Literature Award and is one of the mainstream contemporary writers. After 1990s, he became an active researcher of A Dream of Red Mansions, and gave a series of lectures on Qin Keqing in CCTV Lecture Room, which promoted the prosperity of folk redology. Resume: (1942 ~) Contemporary writer. Pen name, Zhao, etc. Chengdu, Sichuan. 1950 moved to Beijing with his father.
